Oakland Airport T2 Extension & Renovation
Contractor: Turner Construction Company
The Oakland International Airport was originally designed for eight million annual passengers. In 2005, 14.4 million passengers were served, too many for existing conditions. The T2 Extension consists of a new 54,000 sq ft additional seven gate concourse, centralized food and retail area, and 27,000 sq ft baggage claim building. T2 Renovation will encompass remodeling the existing Terminal 2, adding additional ticketing counters and passenger security screening. Lescure scope covered all plumbing systems, as well as those for the new Mechanical Services Building.
